Blackfish - Trailer

Beyond the lies, beneath the deception, the truth will surface.

Magnolia Pictures has debuted the trailer for the chilling Sundance documentary Blackfish, directed Gabriela Cowperthwaite, about orcas in captivity. 

Holy shit. 

The local news could not stop covering this after it happened, and I don’t blame them. I’m glad that someone is going to share Tilikum’s story with the world.

I’ve been to SeaWorld. I enjoy going to SeaWorld. But some of the things SeaWorld does to their animals is too atrocious for words. If they want to educate the public about these animals, fine. Make a 3D cinema orca show, or build an orca-themed ride, but for the love of God, don’t steal these animals from their habitat and traumatize them to make an easy buck.

This is exactly why I’m really not a fan of Sea World. I live in Florida and am about an hour away from Sea World so I am well aware of the 2010 incident. I really have a hard time going to Sea World and would really prefer not to go at all because of these facts.
